Note: In Verse I, the going up on toes is a form of salute or honour, and is often accompanied by a nod, first men to men, then women to women, then across, diagonally, and to your Partner.

I.

A1 1-2: Take inside hands with your Partner and meet the other Couple.
A1 3-4: Then go four slips to your own left.

A2 1-2: All fall back a Double.
A2 3-4: Then go four slips to the right.

B1 1: Men rise onto their toes once.
B1 2: Women rise once.
B1 3-4: All rise 4 times.
B1 5-8: Turn your Opposite once around.

B2 1-8: Repeat, the Women rising first.

II.

A1 1-2: Meet all.
A1 3-4: Men lead your Opposite a Double to your left.

A2 1-2: Change hands and lead a Double back.
A2 3-4: Then fall back with your Partner to your places.

B1 1: Men take right hands, then left.
B1 2: Men switch places by both hands.
B1 3-4: Turn your Opposite once around.
B1 5-6: Men cross back the same way.
B1 7-8: Turn your Partner once around.

B2 1-8: Women do the same starting with the left hands.

III.

A1 1-2: Take your Partner by both hands and meet the other Couple with four slips.
A1 3-4: Take your Opposite four slips out, to the Man’s left.

A2 1-2: Take your Opposite back in with four slips.
A2 3-4: Then take your Partner by both hands and slip back to your places.

B1 1-2: Turn your Partner halfway round by the right hand.
B1 3-6: All go the Single Hey three passes to the Opposite side beginning with the Men passing each other.
B1 7-8: Turn your Partner halfway again.

B2 1-2: Turn your Partner halfway round by the left hand.
B2 3-6: All go the Single Hey three passes to your original side beginning with the Women passing each other.
B2 7-8: Turn your Partner halfway again.
