Note: This dance appeared along with “Juice of Barley” in the 7C & 8th editions, with the same tune but different dance instructions. From the 9th to 16th editions, “Juice of Barley” was called “Cold and Raw.” Then in the 17th and 18th editions, “Cold and Raw” was listed with its original dance instructions.
A1 1-4: 1st Man take your Partner by the hand and lead her around behind the 2nd Man into the 2nd place.
A2 1-4: Then both continue up between the 2nd Couple, going around and behind the 2nd Woman into the 2nd place proper.
B1 1-2: 1st Man Set to the 2nd Woman.
B1 3-8: Turn her once around by both hands, falling back to your places.
B2 1-2: 2nd Man Set to the 1st Woman.
B2 3-8: Then turn her once around by both hands.
Repeat down the line.
