Note: The 17^th & 18^th editions of The Dancing Master had different dance instructions.

Primary Version:

A 1-2: 1^st Couple take hands, and 2^nd Couple take hands, 1^st Man put back your Partner, while the 2^nd Man pulls his Partner to him as the two Couples change places.
A 3-4: All back to back with your own.

B1 1-2: 1^st and 2^nd Couples take right hands across and go halfway round.
B1 3-4: Then take left hands across and go halfway round back to your places.
B1 5-6: 1^st Couple cast up into their original place.

B2 1-4: All four take hands and go halfway round.
B2 5-6: Then all change places with your Partners.

Repeat down the line.
